How do you take Kuro Mizu? How many a day, why mornings, and what to take it with

Reviewed by Health Advisor Team

Short answer: As soon as you wake, tear one sachet of ZENSO Kuro Mizu and drink all 10 ml straight from the sachet. No mixing, no water, and nicer chilled. Always take it in the morning, never at night. It helps your body let go of held water, so you may need the toilet more after it. Take it in the morning and that happens in the morning, right when you're puffiest from the night. A box of 30 lasts 30 days at one a day.

Why does it have to be the morning?

Your body holds yesterday's water and salt all night, so your face, eyes and fingers are puffiest when you wake. Kuro Mizu works at that moment: CactiNea™ cactus fruit and juniper help your body release the extra water it stored overnight.

You may visit the toilet more after taking it. Take it in the morning and that happens in the morning. Take it at night and it disturbs your sleep.

If you keep forgetting, leave a sachet by your bed or in the fridge door and drink it first thing.

What happens in the first days?

  • Days 1–3: perhaps a few more bathroom trips in the morning. That's the extra water on its way out.
  • Week 1: your face looks less swollen on waking, and the first drop on the scale is water.

Everyone responds differently. You'll get more from it if you cut back on salt, drink enough water and keep moving.

What can you take it with?

  • Other ZENSO products: yes, they're designed to go together. Kuro Mizu when you wake, Kuro Daitto at breakfast, and Kuro Oiru and Kuro Shuga chewed before lunch and dinner.
  • Already on a ZENSO set: ZENSO Advance, Pro, GLPro and the Keep Burn Set each include 1 box of Kuro Mizu, so you don't need to buy it separately.
  • Prescription medicine: if you are on medication, especially diuretics or blood-pressure medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking it.

Who should ask a doctor first?

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Anyone on medication, especially diuretics or blood-pressure medicine
  • Anyone with kidney or heart problems or a long-term condition
  • Children: ask a doctor first
  • Swelling that comes on suddenly, hurts or won't go away: see a doctor first, don't rely on Kuro Mizu
  • Allergic to honey or any ingredient in the formula: don't take it

Not feeling anything? What to adjust

  1. Check you take it every day: on-and-off makes it hard to judge.
  2. Check you take it on waking: if you moved it to midday or night, move it back to first thing.
  3. Look at your habits: lots of salt, too little water and sitting all day slow the changes down.
  4. Give it time: drink it for at least 30 days.
  5. Ask your advisor: how you take it and your eating habits can be adjusted one-to-one. No genuine difference after 30 days? You get a full refund.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take Kuro Mizu at night?

We don't recommend it. It helps your body let go of held water, so you may need the toilet more, and at night that disturbs your sleep. Take it as soon as you wake.

Can I take 2 sachets a day?

The label allows 1–2 a day; we usually suggest one. At two a day, a box lasts 15 days. Ask your advisor before changing the amount. If you have a health condition or are on medication, ask your doctor first.

Do I need to add water?

No. Tear it and drink all 10 ml straight from the sachet. It tastes nicer chilled.

Does it have sugar?

A little. It contains honey, so it isn't 'no added sugar': each 10 ml sachet has 7 kcal, 0.5 g of sugars and just 2 mg of sodium. That's a small amount, but if you're watching your sugar or have diabetes, ask your doctor first.

How do I store it?

In a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once a sachet is open, drink the whole thing.
