Reviewed by Health Advisor Team
Short answer: FEMOIRE ISODUCE Plus is a Health Functional Food, classified as a food by NPRA in Malaysia. The USM toxicology lab detected no synthetic hormones and none of 231 drug compounds, and lab reports found no heavy metals or pathogenic microbes. The most common thing women notice: in the first few weeks, some women's periods arrive sooner, later or heavier than usual. If you notice unusual bleeding, stop and see a doctor. The formula contains phytoestrogens and ashwagandha, so don't take it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, under 18, have a current or past hormone-sensitive condition, take an anti-estrogen medicine such as tamoxifen, or are allergic to soy.

What might you notice?
- Period changes: in the first few weeks, some women's periods arrive sooner, later or heavier than usual. If you notice unusual bleeding, stop and see a doctor.
- Bleeding after menopause: if your periods stopped 12 months ago or more, bleeding of any kind is not normal. Stop taking it and see a doctor straight away.
- Allergy: it contains soy. If you are allergic to soy or any other ingredient, check the ingredient list on the box and don't take it.
If you have ongoing discomfort, a rash or anything that worries you, stop and ask your doctor.
Who should not take it?
- Pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive: the formula contains phytoestrogens (soy isoflavones, Pueraria mirifica) and ashwagandha.
- Under 18.
- A current or past hormone-sensitive condition: cancer of the breast, uterus or ovaries, endometriosis or fibroids.
- Taking an anti-estrogen medicine such as tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor.
- Allergic to soy.
Who should ask a doctor first?
- Women taking the contraceptive pill, HRT, blood thinners (such as warfarin), blood pressure medicine, thyroid medicine or psychiatric medicine
- Anyone with a long-term condition
How are phytoestrogens different from hormones?
The phytoestrogens in ISODUCE Plus come from soy isoflavones (6.7% of each sachet, about 200mg) and Pueraria mirifica. They are plant compounds. Soy isoflavones act at roughly a thousandth of the strength of your body's own estrogen, or less, and lean towards bone, blood vessels and intimate tissue rather than breast and womb tissue; Pueraria mirifica is a good deal stronger than soy. ISODUCE Plus has its own certificate from the USM toxicology lab: no synthetic hormones detected. But "plant-based" doesn't mean it suits everyone. The people listed above should still not take it, or should ask a doctor first.
Frequently asked questions
Does ISODUCE Plus contain hormones?
ISODUCE Plus has its own certificate from the USM toxicology lab: no synthetic hormones detected. Its phytoestrogens come from soy isoflavones and Pueraria mirifica, which are plant compounds, and NPRA classifies it as a food product.
Are soy isoflavones safe? How much is in a sachet?
According to the Singaporen label, soy isoflavones make up 6.7% of each 3g sachet, about 200mg. It is classified as a food, and lab reports detected no synthetic hormones. Even so, phytoestrogens don't suit everyone. Don't take it if you are allergic to soy, pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, or have a current or past hormone-sensitive condition.
Can I take it with medication?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Cranberry may interact with blood thinners such as warfarin; phytoestrogens don't belong alongside tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors; L-arginine may add to the effect of blood pressure medicine. If you take the contraceptive pill, HRT, thyroid medicine or psychiatric medicine, check with your doctor too.
Can I take it during my period?
No. You can keep taking it during your period; there's no need to pause. Lab testing found no synthetic hormones in ISODUCE Plus; the phytoestrogens inside come from plants and are gentler than hormone medicines. If your flow gets clearly heavier or longer, or you bleed between periods, stop and see a doctor.
Is it Halal?
Yes. It is JAKIM Halal certified.
