How do you take ISODUCE Plus? How many, when, and should you stop during your period?
Reviewed by Health Advisor Team
Short answer: Take one FEMOIRE ISODUCE Plus sachet each morning after breakfast. Pour it straight into your mouth, or stir it into a glass of lukewarm water. It is lightly floral and lightly sweet. You can keep taking it during your period; there's no need to pause. Lab testing found no synthetic hormones in ISODUCE Plus; the phytoestrogens inside come from plants and are gentler than hormone medicines. If your flow gets clearly heavier or longer, or you bleed between periods, stop and see a doctor. The box allows 1–2 sachets a day; Wellous suggests one each morning, so a box of 20 lasts exactly 20 days.

Why take it in the morning?
ISODUCE Plus is meant to be taken as one sachet each morning, after breakfast. Tying it to breakfast makes it easiest to remember every day. In a rush? Pour it straight into your mouth. No need to wait for water.
What about your period?
You can keep taking it during your period; there's no need to pause. Lab testing found no synthetic hormones in ISODUCE Plus; the phytoestrogens inside come from plants and are gentler than hormone medicines. If your flow gets clearly heavier or longer, or you bleed between periods, stop and see a doctor.
In the first few weeks, some women's periods arrive sooner, later or heavier than usual. If you notice unusual bleeding, stop and see a doctor.
How do ISODUCE Plus and NOVIA fit together?
- Before perimenopause: start with ISODUCE Plus.
- Around perimenopause, or 45 and over: Wellous suggests taking both together as the FEMOIRE Bloom Set: NOVIA plus a sachet of ISODUCE Plus each morning.
- Not sure which stage you're in: ask your advisor first.
Who should not take it?
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive
- Anyone under 18
- Anyone with a current or past hormone-sensitive condition: cancer of the breast, uterus or ovaries, endometriosis or fibroids
- Anyone taking an anti-estrogen medicine such as tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor
- Anyone allergic to soy
Who should ask a doctor first?
- Women taking the contraceptive pill, HRT, blood thinners (such as warfarin), blood pressure medicine, thyroid medicine or psychiatric medicine
- Anyone with a long-term condition
- Women whose periods stopped 12 months ago or more: bleeding of any kind is not normal, so stop taking it and see a doctor straight away if it happens
Not noticing anything? What to adjust
- Check you take it every day: apart from your period, one sachet every morning.
- Tie it to breakfast: keep it on the breakfast table so you don't forget.
- Give it enough time: Wellous reports that cycle and mood usually shift in the first month, with intimate comfort and skin around months 2–3; most ingredient studies measured results at 8 weeks.
- Ask your advisor: they can help with how you take it and whether to add NOVIA. Don't feel a genuine difference within 30 days? You get a full refund.

If your flow gets clearly heavier or longer, or you bleed between periods, stop and see a doctor.
Can I take two sachets a day?
Yes, the box allows 1–2 a day. Wellous suggests one each morning; the ashwagandha studies in women used 600mg a day, which is 2 sachets. At 2 a day a box lasts 10 days, so ask your advisor to plan it with you.
What does it taste like?
It's made on an elderflower-powder base: lightly floral, lightly sweet and 11 kcal a sachet. Take it straight or in a glass of lukewarm water. The sachets slip into a handbag without announcing what they are.
My periods have stopped. Can I still take it?
From 45, Wellous suggests taking it together with NOVIA. If it has been 12 months or longer since your last period, bleeding of any kind is not normal. Stop taking it and see a doctor straight away.
Can I take it with medication?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Cranberry may interact with blood thinners such as warfarin; phytoestrogens don't belong alongside tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors; L-arginine may add to the effect of blood pressure medicine. If you take the contraceptive pill, HRT, thyroid medicine or psychiatric medicine, check with your doctor too.
