How do you take SPIRO Plus? How many a day, when, and what you can take it with
Reviewed by Health Advisor Team
Short answer: Chew 2 SPIRO Plus tablets a day, ideally before bed, so the enzymes work through the night. The first change most people notice is an easier morning. If you forget, take them after a meal instead: taking it every day counts for more than the exact time. If it's your first time or your stomach is sensitive, you can start with 1 a day and move to 2 after a week. No water, no mixing.
How to take it at a glance
| Item | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Dose | 2 tablets a day (you can start with 1) |
| When | Best before bed; after a meal also works |
| How | Chew, then swallow. No water needed |
| Taste | Light lemon with a little tang |
| One bottle lasts | 60 tablets, 30 days at 2 a day |
| Suggested programme | At least 30 days; 90 days (3 bottles) is the most chosen |
Why before bed?
Night is when your body repairs and resets. Chew 2 before bed and the 17 digestive enzymes keep breaking down what's left of dinner across pH 3–9, while dual spirulina and chlorella help clear. For many people, the first change they notice is an easier trip to the bathroom the next morning.
If you often forget at night, keep the bottle by your bed or next to your toothbrush and tie it to brushing your teeth.
What happens in the first few days?
- 30 minutes to 3 hours after your first meal: the enzymes start working, and many people feel less stuffed after eating that same day.
- The first few days: a few people notice extra wind while digestion wakes up. It usually settles within a week.
- Days 1–6: most people first feel less bloated and less heavy.
What can you take it with?
- Probiotics, fibre, vitamins: fine together, and the enzymes help you absorb them better.
- Prescription medicine: space them about an hour apart. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Who should ask a doctor first?
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Anyone on medication or managing a long-term condition
- Anyone on dialysis or with kidney problems (you must ask your doctor first)
- Children: ask a doctor or pharmacist first
Not feeling anything? What to adjust
- Check you take it every day: every other day, or only when you remember, makes it hard to judge.
- Switch to bedtime: if you take it after meals, try before bed instead.
- Give it time: take it for at least 30 days. Week 4 is when the manufacturer's user trial measured changes in regularity and bloating.
- Ask your advisor: how you take it and your eating habits can be adjusted one-to-one. If you don't feel a genuine difference within 30 days, you can get a full refund.
Frequently asked questions
Do I take SPIRO Plus before or after meals?
Before bed is best. If you take it during the day, after a meal is better, so the enzymes can work on the food you just ate.
Can I take more than 2 a day?
Stick to 2 a day. If you want to adjust the amount, ask your advisor first; if you have a health condition or take medication, ask your doctor.
Do I need water?
No. It's a chewable, so just chew it. Drop it in your bag for work trips and travel.
What if I miss a day?
Take your usual 2 the next day. Don't double up.
How long should I take it? Is it habit-forming?
We suggest 90 days to cover both the week-4 and week-8 checkpoints. It contains no stimulant laxatives and nothing habit-forming; the goal is a gut that keeps its own rhythm afterwards.
